I am a full-time artist, based in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa. Although I work predominantly in oils, I also occasionally enjoy the fast-drying freedom of working in acrylics. I have no formal training in the arts, but I have a deep-seated appreciation for nature and an inherent urge to express this creatively. Being a qualified Field Guide and spending a considerable amount of time living and working in the bush has added significant depth to my knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the subject matter I love to paint. I love working with fine detail and I enjoy creating pieces that reflect a delicate balance between realism and creativity. I create original artworks focused on African wildlife (birds are a particular favourite of mine), as well as African portraiture. I also offer a range of limited-edition prints, and a couple of other products featuring a few selected pieces. Deeply passionate about the African wilderness, I strive to use my artwork to promote conservation awareness where I can.
