I live on Vancouver Island on the rainforest coast of British Columbia, Canada. I trained as a textile designer and worked as an in-house artist at Paignton Zoological and Environmental Park in Devon, England.  I believe that one of the biggest threats to wild places and wildlife is the belief that someone else will save it. The ever changing landscape, here on the island, inspires me to paint and raise awareness about local and global conservation issues in my studio, Artbutus.
